Frameworks InstituteIn partnership with the FrameWorks Institute (and with funding from the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation), Prevent Child Abuse America has been engaged in a substantial research process to identify how to reframe the issue of child abuse and neglect. The goal of this research is to move the public beyond the generation of awareness and concern to actual engagement in prevention, including behavior change.

The results of the reframing project and its implications for marketing prevention are profound. Because we believe that child abuse and neglect prevention advocates will benefit from reading this research, discussing it together and making practical and tactical decisions based on its implications, we are providing the full body of research and the resulting analyses and recommendations on this website, published in conjunction with our Summit on Building Public Will for Prevention held in Washington, DC, in April 2004.

Those who wish to explore the concept and literature of framing social issues, should consult the FrameWorks Institute website, where additional research on framing children issues can be found.

Those who wish to keep informed of developments with Prevent Child Abuse America's ongoing communications strategies and the evolution of new campaigns should consult this website.
