Thanks for checking out the 2009 Doublemint^® Gum Double-Double Challenge, a program started by Doublemint gum and NBA Cares to support a great organization, Prevent Child Abuse America.

It's been an exciting season so far and rewarding to know that each time I've grabbed a double-double, Doublemint gum has donated $250 to support Prevent Child Abuse America and its mission: to prevent the abuse and neglect of our nation's children. For the second consecutive year, Doublemint gum and NBA Cares are giving fans the opportunity to get involved through the Doublemint Gum Double-Double Challenge. Fans can pledge to make a donation for each double-double scored by Dwight or any other NBA player during regular season play in the month of April to benefit Prevent Child Abuse America.

Getting involved is easy:

A "double-double" occurs when a player accumulates a double digit total in any two of these categories: points, rebounds, assists, steals and blocked shots.

The Challenge will include 118 NBA regular season games in April. On average, there were 1.7 double-doubles per NBA game last season, meaning approximately 201 double-doubles could be made during the Challenge. Use these estimates to choose the right pledge for you.
